This full day ZOOM training session aims to-
Facilitate and address concerns about working with families who are partially compliant or who deliberately mislead agencies.
Gain further understanding of patterns of behaviour that indicate deception and risk
Use learning from research and national and local Reviews to identify why key information may not be given sufficient weight when working with safeguarding issues
Develop skills in risk assessment and decision making
Develop skills of authorative practice and assertive working to identify and challenge misdirection and non co-operation, including the practice of 'respectful uncertainty'
Develop awareness of implications of Personal, Professional and Organisational Factors that may inhibit assessment of the True Lived experience of the child
Develop skills of assertiveness in negotiations with other professionals
Consider particular issues for practitioners when making decisions under stress and time constraints
