Description

This session will look at the prevalence of the Trio of Vulnerabilities - previously known as 'The Toxic Trio' - in relation to the families that agencies work with across the spectrum of need.

The Trio of Vulnerabilities has been identified as a recurring theme in reviews across Bury.
This session will look at factors to consider in relation to parental substance misuse, parental mental health and domestic abuse, as well as looking at available support and best practice.
The session will cover -
Prevalence of the Trio of Vulnerabilities in work with children and families
The relationship between TOV and Adverse Childhood experiences
The Impact of the Trio on children and young people in terms of risk, wellbeing and development
Factors to consider when working with domestic abuse, parental substance misuse and parental mental illness
Details of Holding Families and services available to offer support.
