This session will raise awareness of PREVENT and CHANNEL, a strategy to reduce the number of young people becoming or supporting violent extremists through a multi-agency approach to recognising, supporting and protecting people who might be susceptible to radicalisation.
This live, online session is for practitioners who have contact with young people who may be vulnerable, to help safeguard them from violent extremism.
The session will give you:
An overview of the Government guidance and what this means
An understanding of vulnerabilities and how to identify possible indicators
Information on the support that can be offered in communities/services
What to do if you are worried about someone
How to make a referral
Signposting to further training available
